There are several LUT boxes on the market, and numerous monitors and other devices include the ability to apply a LUT to an image. What makes the Odyssey7Q+ and Odyssey7Q LUT System so much more powerful and useful?

Where are the LUTs?

The Odyssey monitor/recorder holds a large LUT Library system within it. Open the LUT menu and there awaits a folder containing a number of preset LUTs provided by Convergent Design. Additional folders are available for users to load up to 150 more LUTs. There are a number available for download on the Convergent Design website, or one can create custom 3D-LUTs from popular programs such as DaVinci Resolve that output the industry-standard .cube file format. If using a .cube LUT, use the CD 3D-LUT Converter App (available for download from the Convergent Design website) to translate it into the binary structure that the Odyssey will read (and will keep your LUT safe from others stealing it). Pomfort LiveGrade will export LUTs directly in the native binary format of the Odyssey LUT System. Load this file onto an SSD and then insert that into the Odyssey. From there you can save LUTs into the folders, add additional info in the notes fields, etc.
